| ¡¡¡¡Dr. Zheng is the founder and President of TCI. After obtained a B.S. in Physics and M.S degrees in Electrical Engineering from Chinese Academy of Sciences, she taught Applied Physics in Tsinghua University, and then obtained her M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1980s, Dr. Zheng worked in National Science Foundation funded Center for Plasma Aided Manufacturing at Madison, Wisconsin, engaging in transferring surface technologies developed by universities to industries. In early 1990's she worked in the Research Center of United Technologies Research Center as a Staff Scientist specialized in high temperature materials and coatings.
TCI Shanghai Ltd CEO Dr. Maggie Zheng was Senior Engineer at GE Power Systems until 2000. Dr. Zheng successfully developed several new materials and processes applied on various GE's advanced industrial gas turbines; she is the inventor of three GE patents and author of several GE specifications for materials and processes. She also spent two years working for Chromalloy, where her responsibilities included developing processes, qualifying and manufacturing coatings for Westinghouse, ABB, Mitsubishi, and Pratt & Whitney. Dr. Zheng's past and current positions of service to the materials and coating industries include the Education Chairman of Eastern NY Chapter of the American Society of Metals (ASM) and member of the ASM Energy & Utilities Industry Sector Committee and ASM Federal Affairs Committee.
